Kiran Bedi...a visionary

Dr. Kiran Bedi has been voted as India's most admired women and fifth amongst all Indian's...

....well no doubts on that for sure...'a women
of high spirits and loads of guts' wel these are just too few a words to describe this remarkable lady in khaki...though retired now...she still stands at the top of it all.....

She started her service (IPS) in 1972...n after
35 years of back breaking service she has loads of stories to tell....She has worked with the United Nations as the Police Advisor to the Secretary General, in the dept of Peace Keeping Operations, one of the toughest jobs. She's a proud recipient of the Asian Noble prize n many other prizes too...n the list is rather too long...

It all seems so gud 4 her now...but her road has been full of thorns ever since she has stepped in...one big reason being our male dominant society....nonacceptance of a female in a male dominant role was wat she struggled the most wid...n her fight against this is wat inspires me the most...recognising herself in the male world...

Her book Kiran Bedi.."i Dare"...was a huge success personally its one of the best books i've com across...the book is her biography...it deals wid the tuf currents that she had to swim thru, it has a few things to tell about her personal life too ( her marriage, daughter, etc..) .
The book describes the strike by lawyers against her n about her firmness...it also reflects how the system treats someone who stands against corruption. The book also has the work that she had done for prisoners at the tihar jail...The Tihar jail is described as her 'Karmabhoomi'. Al in al the book is an inspiration to everyone who dares and who believes in himself/herself......................

The award winning documentary ( actually sweeping ) made by the Australian director 'Megan Doneman' title..." yes madam, sir " is about Dr Bedi's entire life in d male society...it has a lovely motto along with it wch says.....' One journey can change a life. One life can change the world '.....

Apart from all this she is the founder of two NGO's ...Navjyoti and India Vision Foundation.. wch deal with drug abuse, education for children of prisoners, in addition to education, training, counselling, and health care to rural and urban poor...

A leader by birth an inspiration for all...a tree n d storm...all fall short of this mighty leader...........A lady with high spirits and a grt mission of a SAFER INDIA in mind....cheers to her and all that she has done....all salutes to this great soul....The country n its citizens owe a lot to u ma'am.....
